Finding one’s birth time
What is called Rectification within Astrology is the process of finding a person’s birth time using different techniques in order to make coincide the sought birth chart with the events unfolding in the native’s life. It is, in a sense, a form of “reverse engineering”. Instead of finding information about someone through the birth chart, we find the birth time (and thus, the full birth chart) through the information we have about that person.
There are two main use cases :
- You absolutely don’t know your birth time or just have a vague approximation of it (for example, “born around dawn”), and you wish to know it so you can have access to your full natal chart.
- You already know your birth time but you doubt it because different people give you different times of birth and/or your birth time seems rounded and/or you don’t fully identify with it and/or because the predictive techniques of Astrology don’t seem to function well enough with your current birth chart.
Important considerations
Rectification is a highly speculative domain. The amount of variables involved makes it a long and arduous feat, while errors are quite easy to make.
It is also hard (to no say impossible) to verify the absolute accuracy of a Rectification, no serious Astrologer would guarantee a 100% their result.
That being said, an interesting challenge took place on Reddit where someone indicated their birth place and day, and would also answer questions about their life. The purpose was to see if Astrologers could find the correct birth time (only known by that person). I participated and won that challenge, the real birth time was 3:47pm and my answer was “between 3:53-4:05pm“. Also, as I mentioned in my explanation of my process, my first guess was actually 3:47pm. You can find the whole post here.
It was, at the time, my first Rectification. Of course, even though I have refined my technique since then, it doesn’t mean that I will necessarily obtain a good result each time. Once again, Rectification is speculative.

In order to do a Rectification, it is really important to have a list of accurately dated events of your life. You should have a clear view of when and where those events took place. The longer and more detailed that list is, the easier and probably the more accurate will the result be.
Also take into consideration that the process will involve some back and forth over various days or weeks depending on the current requests volume.
Price
The cost for my Rectification service is 150€. Usually, the price for such work stands between 300€ and 500€. As I wish to give the opportunity to the widest audience possible to have access to the beauty and usefulness of Astrology, I try to keep my services as affordable as possible. Though, of course, the time required for that labor (hours upon hours, across various days or weeks) has to have its price.
How to proceed for a Rectification :
- Before engaging in the process, take your time to recollect and chronologically list the major events of your life. Do your best for it to be the most precise (in terms of dates and places) as possible.
- Send me an email with your birthday, birth place and the time frame within which you are sure your birth took place. Add any detail possible surrounding this time frame (how did you come to it, who gave it to you, etc). The contact email is the following : contact@astraclavis.com
- After analyzing your request and its feasibility, I will send you the first list of personalized questions as well as the link for the payment.
- Upon receiving your answers and the payment, I will continue working on the Rectification.
- If needed, I may send you another list of questions. This back and forth will go on for as much as deemed necessary for the good completion of the Rectification. Usually, two rounds of questions is enough.
